Why depend on a few?

A shocking admission by Dhoni:
"Sure very few were 100 per cent fit. Some had ankle, some shoulder injury. That is why they were not in their best in the field.
One understands the compulsion of persisting with a player who injured himself during the course of the tournament.

However, one fails to comprehend the logic of selecting players in a 15-man squad knowing well that they are not 100 % fit.

It is clear that either the selectors failed to do their job or the captain insisted on retaining his favorites.

If it is the later then it is a pity that the Indian cricket team has been reduced to an old boy’s network.

YOU WILL MORE HEAR ABOUT THIS . IN THE MEANTIME WINDIES SQUAD HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED. WONDER WHY DHONI DID NOT OPT OUT OF THIS TOUR AS HE HAD DONE EARLIER. PERHAPS HE WANTS TO SHOW THAT HE IS OKAY. OR FEARED THAT HE MAY BE DROPPED FOREVER. I STILL THINK SOME IN THIS SQUAD DO NOT LOOK FIT . AFTER THIS CHAMPIONS TROPHY IS GOING TO BE PLAYED . EXPECT SOME MORE CASUALITIES DURING THIS TOUR.

lviss,

Yuvraj is patently unfit, but they will persist with him.

If one connects the dot especially the outburst to the media by dhoni on asking the BCCI the reasons for the injury, it may well be that this was a big time BCCI cover-up.
