Just when you thought England had a Captain who is refreshingly different, we have the English press going to town questioning his abilities.
Granted, what Collingwood did was wrong, but he had the grace to admit it.
How does a graceless act, committed in the heat of the moment, reflect on his Captaincy?
Come on, an England Captain is human after all.

When the umpire asks you to reconsider your appeal, I think the "heat of the moment" argument is no longer valid. It does not reflect on his captaincy but does on his sportsmanship? Maybe if he had started his apology with "I was an idiot" comment - it may have helped negate the bad press :-)
RS,
That might have helped.:)
Collingwood is only a team captain and not a good captain.
It is sad that he has been given the boot... by far I thought he had everything to make a great captain for England... now they have a brainless dumb ass KP.
