Cheteshwar Pujara hits third consecutive century

Following his triple hundreds in the CK Nayudu Trophy, Pujara scored a triple hundred for Saurashtra against Orissa in the Ranji Trophy. Punjab was the next team to experience his appetite for runs. He made 189 off 182 deliveries and yesterday on the opening day against Mumbai, he made 176 from 173 balls.

The man whose first century was a triple has astonished everyone ever since by his ability to score big hundreds. The very same qualities have put him in contention for a Test middle-order spot.

However, as long as the Indian cricket establishment continues to dally with Yuvraj Singh, Pujara and others who are masters of the longer format of the game will have to wait.

Will Dravid be playing against England. If he gets dropped, then he comes in.

Then he has no chance in the near future.:)

Do you have Cheeka's ear Ott? If so, on behalf of all cricket lovers do not whisper into his ear - just yell for Pujara to be in the squad!

This boy makes you feel like wearing your old white flannels, pick up your bat and haul your expiry date body out onto the field again.

I experience the kind of thrill I had when my cousin took me over to see Azza at Osmania grounds just before his selection to the team.

SB,

No I do not have Cheeka's ear and I doubt whether he 'listens; to anyone. :)

I experienced the same thrill when I watched Vengsarkar carting our famed spin trio all over Chepauk in a Duleep Trophy match.

I live 1km from his house though... Want me to go down and shout it out to him?
