Ponting admits missing Warne & McGrath.

Very SexyImage by Evan Romine via Flickr

Ponting says he misses the services of the legendary Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath.
The fact that he misses the services of the two legends is unsurprising, it his open admission that causes a surprise.
It makes one wonder whether Ponting understood the impression it would make on his beleaguered bowlers.
Surely, these statements are gratuitous and serve to demoralize the team.

he should be sacked Otts... Lee bowled impeccably for the last 1 1.2 years and when he hits bad form, he is the first to throw him out. Somebody should ask Ponting what in this world has he be doing in the last 2 years.... almost contributing absolutely nothing.

I think the pressure has finally got to him. An example the spat with Lee on the field.

They shd have Heyden away from opening. He along with Ponting shd have come in a difrent batting order.Only Hussey and surprisingly Johnson looked composed. Johnson will be a good buy for IPL

Without Ponting saying it the world knew he was missing Mc Grath and Warne..maybe even Kasprowicz for the matter. When you are down, keep shut - didn't someone tell him?!

Despite a new hair hat, he is still unable to land them modeling jobs ( and definitely no Bollywood ones)..

He had to sledge someone didn't he?

Cheers :)

R,

I disagree. Hayden and Ponting still have something left in them.

Excepting the initial flurry, Hayden's shots were well timed.

Johnson and even Siddle are good investments.

Welcome Amit, I just read your post on when India should declare. (http://cricketplusnews.blogspot.com/2008/10/when-should-india-declare-india-vs.html).

Excellent statistics. You have done a painstaking job.

Coming to your comment - I agree with you that Ponting should have kept his mouth shut.

Ponting wont be missing Greg. He is heading back to Brisbane.

Viswanathan said...

R,

Is Greg leaving?

Then India has a lot to worry.:)

I was just wondering about GC. That answers it.

Our last series with oz, did to Punter what the Colonel did to RD. An alteration in the mind's architecture.

I think, Aussies seems to be a balance team after including symonds. He is a match winner player for Australia and he can convert impossible in possible.

Texan,

Symonds certainly has brought balance to the side.
