The Ajantha Mendis legend grows.

In the just concluded Twenty20 tournament in Canada, the inscrutable Mendis finished with 11 wickets at 5 runs apiece.

Looks set for a comfortable 600.

This is what I said when I first saw him bowl in IPL . He is a 500 plus prospect.

what a bowler! what a batsman! frankly, i really enjoy his no fuss batting - always a well behaved c&b.

R,

Only an ingrown nail can stop him.

NC,

I prefer batsmen who do not trouble the scorers.

Ott, the carrom might make him injury prone. Give him a year of packed cricket and we might see that bother him or a different bowler emerge to counter that.

VMM,

We think alike. In fact my reply to Ravindran was on similar lines.

At this alarming rate, let's talk 1600 at least :).

Scorpi,

It is a possibility.:)

500? too many. Indians have more or less sorted him out. Unless he gets the majority of his wickets against the smaller opponents like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe (like murali) he is unlikely to get 500.
