Tendulkar plays the 'injury hand' .
It is becoming apparent that Tendulkar prefers to play only in Tests or in the IPL and if something unpalatable comes his way, say a Irani Cup fixture, he feigns injury. The latest statement coming out of NCA Bangalore bears witness to the fact that Tendulkar is using injury as device to pick and chose games."The 35-year-old was told to rest for another week so that he can be fully fit for the first Test against Australia in Bangalore, beginning on October 9".Mind you, this comes after Tendulkar declared himself fit and was chosen to play for the Rest Of India on that basis. So convenient is this injury that it needs just another week to recover - just in time for the Australian series. It is time the BCCI stop going by Tendulkar's words and put him through an medical examination before selecting him. Like wise, he should also be subjected to a medical check up when he claims an injury.

As expected.
Ganguly will be asked to fill in, HE may fail having to play under pressure and they will use it as the excuse to drop him again. Ganguly shd also feign injury to avoid this ignominy.
R,
How about everyone doing it?
It will automatically give the youngsters a chance to play Test cricket.:)
dont worry OTT he will be miraculously fit after irany trophy is over...
did you remember he declared him self fit to play tests against SA only to skip most part of fielding in first test...coming out scoring 0 and then get himself 'injured' again...
Pan,
That is what bugs me. Why are they let him get away with this?
neither ganguly was recalled and neither Tendulkar feigned injury. more than irani trophy india needs him in Oz series as he is still ...
Buzz,
Badrinath has replaced Tendulkar in the Irani Trophy.
Badrinath ,the replacement specialist, will be under pressure to perform.

R,
Agree. He is all set to replace Laxman in that respect. (Constantly trying to prove himself.)
Buzzz, then why did he have to declare himself fit in the first place? Sort of makes him look silly, doesnt it? Coming out with a statement that he is fully fit, only to be told by the physio that he actually isnt.
Hmm, this isn't looking good for Tendulkar is it? If it's true, it really isn't good. If it isn't its bad for his image. Wonder which was the case.
