It appears that even though he has retired he is ensuring that no batsmen sleep well.

Umpires will not go for the referal at all.
Interesting actually... will they use it though... actually why not also for the moment apart from the player give the right of referrals to the umpires and see how it goes.
If there is an improvement, then they could scrap player referrals.
