Not satisfied with knocking India of its high perch, Sri Lanka is all set to take over India's mantle as the third ranked team in the ICC Test rankings.
They are now placed one step ahead of the fourth placed England team and one ranking point behind third placed India.
It appears that Sri Lanka is well on its way to be the leader among the sub-continental cricket teams.

That's saying a bit too much, Ott. Technically they can, if they play Malinga, Murali and Mendis. But I think we will do better against the Aussies and I'm not sure who Lanka play next. This failure should egg us on. Statistically (off late) it has been the case with India that a spectacular win follows an abysmal defeat and vice versa. The vice-versa is where the problem lies. Do we have to lose to win?

If I am not mistaken they play Bangladesh next and England later.
