Who is Ranatunga?

Is he the Chairman of the Sri Lankan Cricket or the BCCI?

It is high time our media stops asking others to opine on our cricketers.

BTW, Mr. Ranatunga, there is an old saying, "every dog has its day".

Yesterday it was yours.

Mind it.

Like all ex test cricketers he is also worried that T20 may spell the end of test cricket.

There is a long way to go before that. Why are they screaming bloody murder now? :)

NC,
Is he aiming for a Arjuna award? :)

absolutely - It is only our prerogative to slam them :-)

He is still insisting that SL tour England instead of the IPL - my guess is he venting out against the IPL. As per your earlier post, why he has he changed his tune? Is SL now slowing supporting ECB?

RS,

Absolutely, it our right to love our cricketers or leave them:)

About the second issue, I think BCCI will soon make him see sense. :)

Pan,

Yeah. That will be one rude awakening. :)

@ott - I am actually wondering if SL will figure in the alternate champions league with ECB? Maybe that is why the tour between England and SL is in the middle of the IPL. With BCCI wanting 50% of the champions league, and SL not getting any rewards, why not explore alternate options?

RS,

That is a possibility. Even otherwise, both Pakistan and SL do not figure in the Champions League.

However,I wonder whether it is worth antagonizing the BCCI.

One test match and a slam... I agree only we have the right to abuse our players LOL. On the brighter side, what if India (will they) makes a come back and seal the series... duh... he will be quoted for centuries as a classic.

Scorpi,

I am hoping that team India will do just that and leave Ranatunga with egg on his face.
