Rumours are gathering strength as media's report that Dhoni is all set to pull out of the Sri Lankan Tour.
However, both Dhoni and the BCCI are playing it cute.
BCCI's Niranjan Shah said no such request from Dhoni has been received.
Meanwhile Dhoni has added fuel to fire by refusing to confirm or deny rumours. He has in fact said that everything will be clear in a couple of days.
One wonders whether any negotiations are going on and if so what are they negotiating for?

Maybe he was unhappy with the BCCI on not supporting him on the back to back matches and favored scheduling.
If he skips it, we know what real value "test cricket" has for players. I think he needs to take a break from cricket and give us a break from the ads. My question is which one would be ideal for him to skip?
I would have preferred to see him skip the ODI's.
As you correctly pointed out this reveals his priorities.
Also just last night there was an announcement that he signed up with a new player management firm.
Obviously, this break is to shoot some advertisements for them.
That would make Yuvraj the captain for ODIs?
I think he will be dropped. What about Sehwag?
Dhoni is not test captain so he cabn opt out. But the danger is that he may be percieved as an IPL man.
Dhoni's not in the squad and Yuvraj has been dropped.
Right u said.
Its only for the tests though..
Regarding Sehwag, now it seems like a moot point - but given the speculation of rifts it was probably unlikely.
RS,
Sehwag is injured and out for 10 days. I have my doubts whether he will make it to SL.
R,
With you on that.
Q,
Ha the squad been announced? Just got back on line.
It has Ott. No Dhoni, No Yuvraj, No Chawla, No Pathan... Rohit Sharma's in, Ojha's in, Zaks back, Dinesh Karthik and Parthiv Patel both are in...
Q,
Welcome Rohit,Gambhir and Ojha's inclusion.
Bhajji and Parhtiv Patel inclusion is a retrograde step.
Would love to see Yuvraj out of the ODI team too.
Your take?
Ott, my overall reaction has just been posted on Well Pitched.
As for these particular cases:
Great to see Gambhir and Rohit Sharma there and great to see Yuvi get the kick, finally.
But im slightly concerned as to how Yuvi will feel about all this, esp since he is the VC of the ODI side - I explain this more in my post.
Ojha, Im not too sure. He wont get a game as Kumble and Bhajji would be 1st choices.
Parthiv Patel also not sure why he's there - Karthik would have been enough.
Glad to see Zak back too. Looking forward to Zak-RP again after England.
