Lawson on the way out?

The media is increasingly speculating on Lawson's continuance as Pakistan's coach. If one were to believe the Pakistan press, then, PCB has already given Lawson the ultimatum that he would be sacked if Pakistan fails to enter the finals.

Conveniently everyone seem to have forgotten that under Lawson, Pakistan won the Tri-series last week.

Granted, public memory is short - but this is amazing.

The problem is more serious than winning the Asia Cup. Lawson is definitely out, as is Malik.

Im trying to get my thoughts in order to write but they're all over the place right now.

They might save themselves by winning the Asia Cup which is an outside chance right now.

Q: now is the time to write.
Like you, malik's and lawson's thoughts too, are all over the place.

my gut: they won't be sacked yet as TINA.
That's what the PCB feels.
But, there is always an alternative. Who? That's a tough one.

Nothing will change unless DNA is removed from office they will make Malik and Lawson a sacrificial goat and will hire another sacrificial goat, I am sensing the new coach will be Intikhab Alam.
In a surprise move yesterday he lashed out at Majid Khan for criticizing Nasim Ashraf.

No other team in the world is so inconsistent, there is something which is not right, one day they play like champions the next day they look like a minnow, most of the seniors only give match winning performance when their ass is on line, its a game either you are in form or nor not how can you play two bad matches and suddenly come out and play like a champion and after two more games again have poor outing.
Then there are selection issues the team is deliberately not being selected on merit.

I have been advocating for Majid Khan as the new PCB boss for quite some time but it seems as long as Musharaf is there Nasim Ashraf will continue to rape Pakistan cricket.

Wasim,

I am intrigued by the seniors form.
As you have pointed out, they seem to be inept one day and when, as you succinctly put it, their arse is on the line, they play like Champions.

In fact I think Afridi is deliberately batting poorly in order to bring down Shoaib Malik.

BTW, we have the same problem in India.

Pakistan and India dont need foreign coaches nay any coaches. lawson never looked comfortable. Dont know why ICC insists on a press conference after the match. I understand that they are going to do away with that. If u ask me they shd not give the mike to anybody. After all we are seeing evrything in Tv and we can form our own opinions.

R,
I doubt whether they will do away with post-match press conference.
The sponsor will raise Cain, if they do.
