Kapil Devs warped logic

Kapil returned to his favourite hobby of tilting at the BCCI. While, there is merit to some of his statements what he says about the Indian legends is laughable.
Kapil argues, “The BCCI administration had become "very smart" and only wanted "yes men" in their team“. That is why despite producing many legends in the world cricket; India is still searching in alien lands for someone suitable for the job of a coach of our national cricket team."
It is evident that Kapil suffers from warped logic. As most Indian legends are ‘yes’ men and if as he says BCCI prefers ‘yes’ men, where is the need for to appoint a foreign coach.
It will become further evident; when we remember that other than Bangladesh, Kenya and assorted associate countries, none of the major cricketing associations/board has offered leave alone considered these legends as a coach.
This fact is sad reflection on the coaching credentials of these ‘yes’ men. While they may be great cricketers, none of them can don the role of a coach.
The stark truth is that the BCCI has taken the step of appointing foreign coaches to get rid of these ‘yes’ men.

kapil's hurt.

he had the job of being a coach for a while, which was snatched from him due to a false accusation.

APD,
All I remember of his stint as a coach, is he got rid of Azharuddin as a Captain, plus had his knee operated while on tour to Australia.

Pan,
Kapil is a yes man always.

Indian legend coaches have been legendary failures. The fact is u dont need a coach for a test or odi team .U need them only for those who are to poised to make it ie junior level. Our team itself has a few " playing legends' who would not ned any coaches.

I am with you on this. Indian team in particular needs managers.

Kapil seems to be making statements just to get some press for ICL...

RS,

I agree. It would be much better if he spends his energy on ICL.
