This is one of the few instances I wish I was a cricketer, particularly an International cricketer.
For I do not know, where else, you can be caught and suspended for drug abuse and still get paid by your employer.

Although the PCB has suspended Asif from all cricketing activities but
he will continue to get his monthly retainer from his central 'A'
category contract which is around Rs 250,000 per month.
Sheesh!

innocent until proven guilty :-( why not suspend him without pay and if innocent pay arrears since this could take months...?

Guilty beyond doubt. Yes, they should suspend his retainer until he proves himself innocent.
