Vengsarkar gets a Rs 1-cr IPL windfall

Vengsarkar's tenure as Chairman of Selectors ends this September.

As a superannuation bonus, he is reportedly set "to join the Indian Premier League's second season as Director (Cricket Operations) for a package of Rs 1 crore per annum. His detailed job profile, however, has not been revealed."

BCCI has generously compensated his loss for not writing his syndicated column.

After the wilderness years that was the Kiran More tenure, this is the least the BCCI could do for DBV.

Cheers.
