Tri-series- Indo-Pak final- Dhoni left it too late

Dhoni left it too late.

He should have taken the attack, or tried to take the attack by the scruff of its neck much earlier.

By delaying, he reduced the possibility of success and increased the probability of failure.

Having said that Pakistan virtually batted India out of the match.

What do you think?

Honestly I though 315 was too low for the Indian batting line up. Pakistan looked good for 330+ but they ended badly.

I thought India would get there.

Dhoni might have said that i was a mistake, and it takes a big man to admit it publicly, but India really should not be disappointed.

Till the end Dhoni was confident that he would get there. Another man or another team would have crumbled.

India was not in command of the chase at any point. I think we have one batsmen too many (play 5 bowlers) - Raina or Dhoni at 7 is not very useful - match has already been won/lost and will put more responsibility on the batsmen up the order.
