Ever wondered why Stanford is throwing good money after the bad?

I am reminded of vince mcmohan of the wwe who reportedly keeps the wrestlers firmly under his thumb.There is a saying in tamil abt chozhiyan kudumi which fits into this scenario. I am also wondering why Stanford wants to pay so much to England team( in the present form windies may not in win).
Stanford is trying to buy votes. Possibly he wants to run ICC. :)
