The BCCI and its lackey PCA seem bent on erasing every trace of their association with Kapil Dev and in return, he is not making it easy either.
Kapil has shot of a letter asking the PCA to return all the 'gifts and memorabilia' given by him. Kapil states that he fears they will fall into disrepair.
Outwardly, both profess logical reasons behind their move, but it is hard for a cricket fan to digest this petty tit-for-tat responses.
It is high time the BCCI realizes that they cannot erase Kapil and his cricketing deeds by merely pulling down his poster or by junking his memorabilia,
Similarly, Kapil can also smooth the interactions by not running to the press or the courts with his complaints.

i really feel for kapil though...he must be ruining the day when he had brain fade and joined ICL...specially after VG's latest remuneration reports...

Coming to your comment, yes they are being childish.
Kapil is also ruining his chances by constantly showing BCCI in bad light.
Kapil's position is a tough one now (should he remain silent when BCCI does something petty (like removing his photo ahead of the 25 years celebration of the only WorldCup victory). What can/should he do now?
And the 1983 WorldCup will always be one of the finest wins for India and BCCI cannot erase that.

Agree with you that the WORLD CUP win was seminal.
What I find irritating is Kapil's constant needling of the BCCI.
He seems hell bent on provoking the BCCI to address him directly.
Unfortunately,for the BCCI he is person non-granta.
PCA shd return the memorablia if Kapil wants it back without dragging the issue. We come to know of the memorablia only after this issue crops up.
This is worse than the saas-bahu serials... at least there the women are hot. A bunch of 50 year old kids having a trade fight! dumb.
