Pathans – India’s Waugh brothers?

The Pathans have a very good chance to play for India together.

Obviously, they have a long way to go before they are mentioned in the same breath as the Waugh’s, however one hopes they serve India with the same distinction as the Waugh brothers served Australia.

BTW, just wondering, have a set of brothers played for India?

Mohinder and surinder amarnath .Surinder was a more attacking and better batsman suited to todays auction cricket..Somehow he got away quickly .The pathans can serve well if they keep the powers that be in good humour.Yusuf looks a voaltile type.

R,

Yes. I forgot. Surinder played left handed and was an attractive but volatile batsmen.

Have they played together?

Yes they played in the same test when I think surinder scored abt sixty runs in even time. He rarely tried to block the ball.
GUpte brothers played in dif times.

R,

Yep I remember once watching Surinder blasting a quick fire 30 and getting out to a cross batted shot to the last but one ball to lunch.

I read that Yusuf and Irfan were hald brothers - whats the story there?

No idea Q. Yusuf Pathan was always mentioned as the elder brother. However, I see they are mentioning him now a days as his half-brother.

I presume their father has something to do with this. :)
