India converts spinners into medium pacers

"Every time we take young spinners away to the sub-continent they come back as medium pacers," Jenner was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.

As the pitches in India play low and slow, he feels the spinners start bowling faster and hence they lose their flight and spin.

Does this explain the success of Anil Kumble? I ask this question because all of us know of period when he was considered our fastest bowler.

Kumble started off as a pacer and became a spinner.Habits die hard and so he became a fast spinner. Jenners comment is stupid. Did warne at any time bowl fast in India. Like fast bowlers resorting to bouncer when hit , spinners bowl flat and faster.

R,

Jenner did say Warne was lucky because he played in Sri Lanka first.
