The PCB is awaiting the result of the blood test conducted on Asif in Dubai. Interestingly the Press Trust of India reports that if the result proves positive, the PCB will ban him immediately.
However, the PCB in Asif's defense has put forth the theory that the drugs are medications given to Asif by a local Hakeem.
Remains to be seen whether this defense hold water.
