Nanavati who is grandly name of Inquiry Commissioner (makes it sound Gestapoish) has pleaded for leniency.
Now what business does an Inquiry Commissioner, appointed to enquire into the ‘slap gate’ controversy, has in pleading for lesser punishment for the assailant is debatable. Nanavati by the very nature of his job should confine himself to reporting on the issue.
One concludes that all this pleading by Harbhajan, Farookh Engineer and Nanavati (there are unconfirmed reports that even Sreesanth had asked for Harbhajan to let off) is an attempt to set the stage for the BCCI Chief to let Harbhajan escape with an insignificant punishment.
This blogger still stands by his call for banning Harbhajan for life.

Evryone seems intent on protecting Bhajjji for some strange reason. He will get away without any further punishment.

Pan,
The Australians are correct. He is a blot on cricket.
Furthermore, the extent to which the nation as whole believed and defended him, by his uncouth behavior, he has betrayed us.
I hope he never plays for India.
