Pakistan's ICL players give up fight

The Pakistani players, who joined the Indian Cricket League, have given up their legal battle against the Pakistani authorities for banning them from domestic tournaments.

Has a deal been struck?

Imran Farhat, Taufeeq Umar, nd Abdul Razzak had filed a case against the PCB but according to this Hindu report it has been dropped. I haven't heard from anywhere else that it has been dropped nor has it come up in the Paki press.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it was dropped. A resolution is just around the corner. Mushtaq, Saqlain, Azhar Mahmood and Rana Naveed were given NOCs for playing for counties despite appearing in the ICL.. so the PCB might be reaching a stance on these players as well.

The PCB has realised that their domestic competition missed these players who are all stars in Pakistan - Hasan raza, tauqfeed, Imran nazir, imran farhat, humayun farhat, mohd sami, riaz afridi, razzak, etc.. the public wants to see them.

Plus if Pak is launching the PPL, it would want all these players to be a part of it.

Q,

I thought as much. If you ban players for playing in the ICL a whole generation is lost.

The PPL and EPL are in the planning stages. The rest may not be too far away.

Pakistan will be unable to launch it ppl .It is not as easy as it appears .U need franchises who can fritter away billions on cricketers. They are wiser if u ask me.
Yes ,there may APL ,SACL, BCL,LCL, and ICC will have time to only open and close windows.
