If we were to go by the media Shane Warne collects all the kudos. He has been credited with turning a largely un-fancied team, Rajasthan Royals into a winning machine.
Apart from him are there any contenders? If so, who do you rate as the best coach?

How about Tom Moody - if not for the actual coaching, but for bringing in Marsh and Pomersbach - They have got real value for the money. Not sure if he was responsible for bringing them in?
lal chand rajput...for clappng while bhajii was busy slapping...
what a way to 'motivate' your player...
@ipl08 - yeah Moody probably was behind the signing of the two aussies. I think they both play in his West Australian squad.
It's amazing KKR aren't doing better. Surely John Buchanan can't be having too many problems with computers ... he is in India after all.
Nobody. The coaches are a waste of money especially in T20 where no long time strategy can be had.If the caoches are allowed to talk to the captians and change the course of a losing game then we can asess their real worth. Otherwise they are all waste of maney.
ha ha SP... lal chand for his claps.. as for all the coaches, I don't know who is coaching for which team... nothing impressive by anyone except warne.
I think IPL proves that Buchannan is not a great coach. He recieved great accolades for the success he had achieved with Australia but people forgot that his team included Mcgrath, Warne, Ponting, Martyn, Waugh, Gilchrist, Hayden, Langer.
With a less ordinary team, he was less successfull.
Preity Zinta!! Hugs n Kisses is all thats required to get the cricketers to perform.
Had Mallya used Katrina the same way, RCBs fortunes would have been different.
No way, it has to be Shane Warne 8 times in the top 8 list.
