There is nothing wrong in holding Test cricket and Test cricketers in high esteem. However, why is Dravid constantly questioning the ability of players in the IPL.
“Twenty20 is unique and lot of young Indian players are excelling in this format. Whether they can take this confidence to the next level is debatable. It’s not going to be easy and the skill with which you achieve success in the shortest format may not provide success in Ranji and Tests,”
If we are to follow the argument to its logical conclusion, one is forced to ask,how many of the Ranji Trophy players will have the wherewithal to succeed in Test cricket?
Dravid appears stuck on his favourite thought that Test cricketers can adapt to any form of cricket, whereas others cannot.
By constantly questioning the skills of Twenty20 cricketers to scale up to other forms of the game, Dravid is trying to convince himself of his decision to pack his side with Test cricketers.
It is high time Dravid looked at the truth in the eye and admit he is wrong.

not only closed mind but it seems that his sense of purportion is also getting reflected in his statements...
i fear in all this we will loose dravid the test bat...
What he wants to say is that the test player can play out the 20 overs in T20 without scoring much whereas the T20 products will start throwing the bat around the moment they come to the crease.

Mallya has started talking abt the corporate side of ipl.One newspapre threw light on this corporate side by saying that come next february the trading of commodities will take place and dravid will be put up. Wonder why he didnt quit captaincy after ystrdys match agaist Royals.

Dravide with his 3 innings and the Orange cap is answer for all your questions. If you can see with you eyes, then experiences players only have excelled in IPL 2009 till now. experience really counts.. and class also.. which dravid has in plenty....
