Dravid post loss to Rajasthan Royals asks, “what else we could have done”?
Obviously, a man bereft of ideas.
Do you have any suggestions?

Well he's got nothing left to lose this season - play more Indian youngsters, who knows Banglore may well unearth a player that could help them for the next season of the IPL.
Nothing at the moment.Look at their last match.Dravid allowed the snick specialist Asnoodkar to get away with repeated snicks and edges behind the slips and he didnt bother to post an extra slip or a third man. They have mentally given up any idea of fighting back.
Did he really say that :-( Here is my list of ideas.
1. Play a full Indian XI (most of the internationals have not contributed) - so how much worse can they do? (they may want to leave out Sunil Joshi and possibly Kumble out of this squad).
2. Take a leaf out of F1, the last 2 spots are as hotly contested as the first 2.
3. Dravid should play a role similar to Graeme Smith and someone else must play Pathan/Watson's role.
4. Outbid for Kevin Pieterson - should make Mallya happy.
5. Wipe out the dejected look from all the players, Mallya and Katrina. They all look like they are viewing a national calamity instead of a match.
6. Get an Australian expert, so that they are able to identify Australian domestic prospects (like Marsh). And maybe a better local scout as well.
7. Should have managed to sit out a few games like Lakshman. Gilly is still managing to smile and so is Laksman.
8. Stop running the ad "Hum Jeetange shaan se" for a while.
Forget this year.Get Ian Bell next year instead of unworthy Peit.U will not regret it. For the present push kallis down the order>Dont open the attack with ur two fast bowlers. Bring them after the power play,Open the bowling with kallis. and another medium pacer.Dravid can open with some lesser known player and ask him to play like Asnoodkar. Most imnportantly dont put ur down in shame,u r not the only one playing other are sharing ur agony.

CC,
RC's failure can be attributed to the lack of local talent.
So your suggestion is extremely relevant.
R,
Wonder what brought on this attitude.
its never nice wen the guy who funds u asks u to perform better. Its unnecessary pressure.
and thats precisely wat RCs are sufferin from.
they are trying too very hard to do something. Instead, they shud just chill

Sorry for such a long comment.
CrazyBbugga,
We (you and me) are answerable to our employers (owners).
We in a lesser paid jobs face their wrath day in and day out.
So why should Dravid be spared? :)
ipl08,
He did. It was the title of an article in cricinfo.(Forgot to put in the link).
Your long comment is welcome.
I have been making this point since Dravid was made Captain of the Indian team, i.e., his Captaincy is a laboured affair. He is a unnatural.
Along with Venkatesh Prasad, he suffers due to paucity of Ideas.
In that aspect all your points emphasis Dravid to be innovative.
I agree totally.

a fitting lesson! It will bring him back to the old humble self.
Next season, all of them will be a year older...interesting.
