Asked whether IPL will change the future of cricket, Tendulkar’s reply:
"I don't think the IPL will change the future but definitely the international calendar will change to accommodate the IPL."
For one known for bland non-controversial comments, this one is remarkable as it goes against the grain.

SACHIN IS FORECASTING THE FUTURE CORRECTLY. ICC HAS TO ACCOMODATE OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE EXODUS WITH CAPITAL E. THATS ONE REASON WHY THERE IS TALK OF STARTING A EPL CRICKET LEAGUE IN ENGLAND. IN FUTERE CRICKET WILL HAVE ONLY PL CALENDERS.
R,
Only IPL calendar's that would be drastic.
pretty cool... at least he is coming out of his box
Scorpi,
Out of his box? Are you refering to his ahem.. groin? :)
exactly my thoughts, ottayan
He's quite right actrually Ot...IPL has changed the present. Future changes itself. There could be a Stanford Test League with billion dollars per test match...who knows what the future behilds. As of now, IPL has changed the present as players know it...both those playing and those itching to play in some league or the other.
Soulberry,
I agree that Sachin is right.
However it is a surprise that he had something contrarian to say.
