Smith says they have effectively countered our spin bowling.

what edge ? nothing of that sort. they are trying to keep themselves by saying something like this to prevent getting cold feet.

The only ball which spun was the one Smith fell lbw. :)

I do believe we could have bowled better on the last 2 days. SA enjoyed more good luck than any psychological advantage.

Upto the moment that a test match is lost, the Saffers are indeed holding onto an edge.

Some may call it psychological while others may interpret it as a life-saving blade.

Psychological edge is a gas bag that you inflate once in a while just to score some brownie points over your opposition.

South Africa is a pretty good user of this.

Soulberry,

Hope it doe'nt turn into a double edge sword.

Philip,
Its a wonder they don't gag on it. :)

I'm hoping it does for it stems from them. For instance the tiring rerun of that oldie - chin music. The beats are different these days, the dance is also different.

I guess the a psychological advantage can now be defined as bowling a team out for 76 in twenty overs on the first day of a test on a reputedly turning pitch with three pace bowlers.

I curse India for making Smith appear right.
