This is indeed news. I was under the impression that the ICC was investigating Shoaib on its own.
It turns out that the BCCI formally asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to ascertain the speedster's claim.
That interview on GeoTV is certainly helping Shoaib win many friends.

This certainly is News. So far I had also heard that the ICC had acted independently but apparently not. But this is another case of Indian and Pakistani media reporting differently about the same story.
Either way, Shoaib's comments on TV following the ban have backfired. Apart from this, Nasim Ashraf has filed a defamation case against him. Future looks bleak.
Shoaib must be big fan of 'How to Win friends and influence people.' :)
