Yousuf is unlikely to get out of the legal tangle with ICL until the end of April. This effectively rules him out of a major part of the inaugural IPL as it starts by April 18.
Moreover, even if the arbitration panel decides in his favour, ICL is likely to throw other legal challenges in his way and deny even a token participation..
It is a pity that an impulsive decision has cost Yousuf an opportunity to play in the big stage.

He's got only himself to blame.
But I don't see why there has been so much delay at the courts - the case has been going on since October. Not that there can be so many arguements that require multiple hearings. So whats with the delay?
Q,
The courts here are overwhelmed with cases. That maybe the primary reason.
I suspect that both IPL and the ICL are uninterested in bringing the case to a close.
Courts are always overwhelmed with cases but in situations where a decision is seemed urgent to determine someones paticipation in a tournament, an election or something on those lines he courts should speed up the process I think.
I can see why the ICL would want to delay and stop Yousuf from participating in the IPL. But theres no reason for the IPL to be uninterested. Unless they don't really want him.
Q,
IPL reluctance may be due to the legal validity of its stance.
Can anyone just walk away from a contract, by returning the advance?
That means that the IPL thinks it will lose out. Then why delay the inevitable?
He deserves it... was too greedy and thought he can manipulate people for his own good. This should teach him something.
