South Africa will play three Test matches against India later this month and in April. So what is in store for cricket fans?
From a cricketing perspective, the series has much in store. Both the teams are capable of upsetting the other. South Africa’s clinical approach and their disciplined ‘percentage’ cricket can nullify India’s home advantage. In that sense both teams are evenly matched. However, the Indian bowling attack has more variety and with Kumble at the helm may prove the differentiator.
From a blogging perspective this series has all the ingredients to induce a ‘virtual’ comma among Indian cricket blogger's. Barring Smith’s girlfriend, there is no one among the South African’s capable of stirring passions among the home team supporters. As things stand only a Nel - Sreesanth confrontation can save this series from ennui.
