IPL- Bidding War on Symonds

His petulance and the Harbhajan episode should have made Symonds an 'untouchable' purely for marketing reasons and an 'undesirable' for the IPL franchisee's.

However, pure cricketing skills seems to have won over racism, chauvinism and jingoism.

From media reports it is clear that every other IPL franchisee want him.

Saurav Ganguly, Captain of the Kolkatta team, want him and is reportedly ready to involve himself directly in the bidding process.

The Delhi franchisee is also very keen on Symonds and needless to add the Bangalore franchisee is ready for a bidding war.

Curiously the Mumbai franchisee and the Chennai franchisee haven't envisioned interest.

Probably the Chennai franchisee may have deemed him costly and unviable, but why is the Mumbai franchisee shying away from him?
