Australia to copy Indian 'swing'

According to a report in The Hindu seeing the success of the Indian bowlers particular Ishant and Zaheer the Australians have decided to drop their ‘new age’ style of reverse swing and are looking to adopt the Indian ‘time wrap’ method.

The Indian Express reports that Tim Nielsen, the Australian coach, is making the Australian pacers watch the Indian seamer Zaheer Khan in slow-motion and learn the craft.

So much for their determination to play new age cricket. Now they are playing catch-up. Pathetic.

I do not know Otts... I have never seen this kind of swing by the Indians before... so weird. I hope not to wake up one day to see some ex-cricketer writing a book on some mints used... that will be disappointing.

No such worries Scorpi.. It is not rocket science, just a different way of landing the ball.

Takes a lot of discipline for both bowlers to land the ball on one side to scruff it up, but no mints involved, for sure :)

Cheers,

Scorpi,

Homer's reply should alleviate your anxiety.

Yes.. its great consistency by both Zak & Sharma to land the ball consistently on the same side..

The swinging ball has always been Australia's nemesis. :)

They said Bend it like Beckam then. Now they say Reverse it like Zaheer.
