Next month Steve Harmison will be crowned a “North East legend” for his contributions to cricket.
One can easily understand Steve Harmison’s immense contribution to cricket when one realizes he is following on in the footsteps of Alan Shearer and Malcolm Macdonald.
For the record, Steve Harmison has been a part of two Ashes winning England teams, has represented England in 63 Tests and has taken 266 wickets. His contribution to England’s recent Ashes win was noteworthy for the sheer lack of success.
He was also a part of the England Ashes team that was drubbed 5-0 in Australia.
As they say, this is really the stuff for the legends.
