Are Indian’s the favourites?

The success of Indian players in the IPL makes it easy to conclude that the Indian team is the favourite to win the ICC Twenty20 Cup.

In fact, none other than Wasim Akram and Sanjay Manjrekar concludes so and argues that the Indian team can withstand the pressure of being the favourites.

Well, being an Indian I have no reason to argue with the stalwarts, however, I believe that the teams from South Africa and Pakistan can give the Indian team a good run for their money.

There is also the wounded Australian team hungering to reestablish their dominance in all formats of cricket.
Therefore, favourites or not the Indian team had better beware.

I'm not too sure guys. 3 reasons:

1.Even though the oldies from the other teams played pretty well, many of them don't find actually find a spot in their own teams (eg Aussies etc). It makes me wonder if they know something we dont.

2. The IPL is a lot of fun to watch - but there's a tremendous amount of hype also. It sort of clouds our vision into believing what we see most might also be the best out there.

3. Am I the only person who thinks there might be a certain amount of fixing in IPL?

If Australia could not win it with Hayden, Gilly, and Hodge in 2007, they won't do it without them either.

I GO BY THE RECENT FORM OF GAYLE , DWAYNE SMITH , BRAVO AND EDWARDS. IF THEY GET SOMEONE LIKE SARWAN AND CHANDERPAUL TO PLOUGH THE FIELD WHILE THE OTHER GO ABOUT THRASHING THE BOWLING IT WILL BE A GOOD TEAM TO WATCH.
