So Mr. Mallya, what's your opinion about these test players now?

My friend Trideep, has grown up idolizing Sachin, Dravid, Kumble and gang. If I am not mistaken he has been more hurt by the calls for their retirement than the players themselves.

So it is unsurprising that he hits back at their detractors when he has the chance. Yesterday's game between RCB and RC where Dravid and Kumble put in an outstanding performance provides him with one another opportunity.

Unhesitatingly he targets their chief tormentor and asks "So Mr. Mallya, what's your opinion about these test players now?"

I join him in asking,Well, Mr. Mallya, what is your answer?

lviss,

Frankly, I doubt whether Mallya will be bothered by his behaviour.Dravid is a kid when it comes to corporate games and he is not going to derive anything with this kind of behaviour.

Dravid proved that he can do well in T20. As far as Mallya goes, I dont think he will be bothered much about Dravid's reaction.

BTW.. just to point it out.. I was not at all upset by the calls of retirement by the seniors. What i couldn't tolerate was the way Dravid was treated by a business man... and that too on cricketing lines.

Tri,

Remember Dravid himself had wondered at this auction business and said he did not like it precisely for this reason. Looks like his words were prophetic in his case.
