Longevity has its rewards

Setting a world record for the most number of catches by an outfielder is one of them.

Indian cricketer and former captain Rahul Dravid has broken the world record for the number of catches in Test matches by an outfielder.

When Dravid helped to dismiss the New Zealand batsman, Tim McIntosh, in Wellington, it was his 182nd catch in a Test career going back to 1996.

This is unfair becoz the slips get more catches coming than those in the boundary .Had he been a regular on the boundary he would have much less catches to his credit.

lviss,

Exactly. Moreover I would have been proud if he had taken those catches in fewer test matches.
