"I am not interested in India. Not interested in Indian cricket".

Guru Greg Renounces India.
Miffed at Virendra Sehwag's outburst, Greg Chappell has decided to sever all ties with Indian cricket, including the lucrative job he has with the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).
The man who landed a hard slap on Greg Chappell's pouting face at the Bhubaneswar airport had the right idea and deserves a Padmashree.

R,

Indian cricket as whole can now heave a sigh of relief.

Wow! He's quite a sissy, I must say!

But finally India is free of the evil presence within. I was wondering what Modi and Chappell were up to together in Jaipur.

Ottayan...I wish to point out that your posting system does not work with a combination of Linux and Firefox. I have that at work...

Ott,

GC got the excuse he wanted to get out, thanks to Sehwag. With Ian Frazer already out ( big rift between him and the Rajasthan captain leading to his expulson), it was only a matter of time before GC was shown the door. Also, GC has cut back big time on his presence and role in the RCA after getting the Center of Excellence assignment.

This precipitated it.

The only thing that remains is, what of the contract GC signed with the RCA? And what happens to the tell all book GC threatened to write in the aftermath of the WC debacle?

Cheers,

This news was like fresh air on a lousy day! Now I only hope Greg sticks to his stand...

Megha,

GC's pal Kiran More is with the ICL, so you can never discount a comeback.

Cheers,

About my comment form,I am using the default form provided by blogger so I have no idea how to tweak it.

Homer,

Yes I agree he was looking for a way out and Sehwag provided him the opportunity.

Knowing Modi's way, I wonder whether there was a formal contract.:)

Megha,

Silly-maid on, you are a breath of fresh-air, hence a warm welcome.

Let us hope he remains unmoved by IPL/ICL money.:)
