India v England, 3rd Day, 2nd Test, Mohali

Despite a 314 run partnership between Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid, India were 453 all out at the end of the truncated second day, an end inconceivable as they were 302 -1 at lunch.

Post lunch they lost the well set Gambhir and Dravid to inexplicable shots. Laxman and Tendulkar soon followed and India lost 4 wickets for just 19 runs. The situation would have been grave had Cook latched on to a dolly from Yuvraj. In a way, the rest of the runs were hard work, so they could well be the margin of victory.

As the match stands, despite dawdling, India holds the upper hand. Harbhajan has to bowl well to seal a victory. However, bad light and the weather could dictate the result.

Harbhajan bowl well... not happening. India better start investing in uncovering other good off-spinners in the country as a strong back-up. Currently, he is blowing too much of hot and cold.
