Can Kevin Pietersen name his own price?

It has been suggested that England’s decision to continue their tour in India in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks will surely up their bidding price when the Indian Premier League transfer window opens next week.

However, going by the sentiments expressed by the CEO of the Deccan Chargers it appears that IPL franchisees are still awaiting the final word from the ECB on their availability.

"It [England's decision] does not change our plans at all," said Tim Wright, chief executive of the Deccan Chargers. "We are either interested in a player or not irrespective of whether they play two Test matches in December. We have taken a view on the people we want. Their price will be more to do with availability than playing in these two Test matches."

So, Kevin Pietersen has to wait for some more time to name his price.
