Kapil Dev claims ICL has done more for Indian cricket

Taking a pot shot at the BCCI, Kapil Dev claims ICL has done a lot more for Indian cricket than the BCCI.

''Look what has happened to all the (BCCI’s) promises of providing infrastructure for players. The ICL has constructed four stadiums while others depend on grounds leased from the Government or run by the state governments''.

This is an unreasonable claim by Kapil Dev. Where will a not for profit organization like the BCCI find the resources to build stadiums. Damn it they were too poor to afford a website until recently.

Even if they build another ten stadia theirs. will remain an unrecognised event.

R,

What he says is untrue. They have only renovated some stadiums. They have not built anything from ground up.

I agree. BCCI is poor, but it's the money that they lack, it's the brains to run Cricket in India ;)

I was pulling BCCI's legs. :)

LB,

That is a telling comment.

If that is the case, why do they engage in 'piracy'... stealing off the system of others... what a joke... Nothing more than a bunch of pirates. In contrast, Tony Grieg doesn't go on a high ground and it more acceptable.

Scorpi,

I agree that Tony Greig comes across as balanced.
